Jorge Araiza -  Head Coach

    Jorge earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from California State University at Chico and went on to earn a master's degree in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University.

    He has six years of collegiate baseball coaching experience at the community college and NAIA level as a lead assistant and head pitching coach while coaching club baseball for over 7 years.

    Jorge played professional baseball in Golden, Frontier, and Vera Cruz (Mexican) Winter Leagues. At the amateur level, Jorge played for the Ecuador National Team as a player-coach 2005-2012 playing in South American Championships in 05', 07', and 12', as well as in the 06' Pan-American Games played in Cuba. He was a world series finalist twice and California JUCO runner-up and State Champion in 04'. 

    Currently, Jorge owns and operates Bat & Root which offers Baseball instruction through camps, clinics, and private instruction in the South Orange County area. He also teaches Yoga and Meditation with private clients.
